A few terms that come up often in this site's templates and guides.
- Check-in / check-out
- The moments when a guest arrives and leaves. Usual times are stated in the listing and repeated in the welcome booklet.
- Welcome booklet
- The document given to guests on arrival, gathering practical information and recommendations about the property.
- Lockbox
- A small box fixed near the entrance, secured with a code, used to retrieve keys without an in-person handover.
- Inventory check
- Comparing the property's condition before and after a stay, made easier by an up-to-date inventory.
- Host
- The person who welcomes guests — you. May manage the property alone or with the help of a cleaner or a management company.
- Guest
- The person who books and stays at the property.
